PAYMENT
Please complete and send enrolment form with a deposit of
€190 (non-refundable) or full fees.
Tuition and accommodation fees must be paid in full 15 days in advance.
Students who enrol less than 15 days before arrival must send
full payment with enrolment form. Bank charges must be paid
by the student. Changes made to bookings will incur a charge
of €38.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A deposit of €190 is required to confirm course booking.
Cork Language Centre International (CLCI) sends confirmation of booking
on receipt of enrolment form and deposit.
Each tuition hour lasts 55 minutes.
Minimum age limit is 18 (except Executive and Professional courses where minimum age limit is 23).
Monday is the starting day for all courses each week. When Monday is a public holiday, Tuesday is the starting day.
There is no reduction in fees when a course includes a public holiday (except for two weeks at Christmas).
Students are expected to attend classes regularly and on time.
Students forfeit tuition if they are late, absent or leave early.
Students on long courses (except examination courses) may take a holiday break without losing their course fee,
provided 10 days notice is given.
Students who wish to remain in their homestay during the Christmas break are charged a supplement of €70 per week
for full board accommodation.
Course Fees
Fees include tuition, welcome pack, student card, use of resource centre and internet, placement test, access to
language counselling and certificate of attendance. Fees do not include course books, examination fees, cost of lunch,
some social events, personal insurance and bank charges.
Accommodation
Accommodation booked through CLCI is subject to an administration fee of €65.
Homestay
Homestay fees are calculated per 7 nights, half board Monday to Friday, full board at weekends. From October to May,
students have a single room. During the months of June, July, August and September, there is a supplement of €30 per
week for a single room.
Students should expect to travel for an average of 30 minutes from their homestay to CLCI.
Executive homestays are superior homes with more than one bathroom. En suite facilities are not guaranteed. There is
limited availability of executive homestays.
Students with special dietary requirements may be charged a supplementary fee.
Cancellation Policy
If notice of cancellation is given in writing 15 working days or more before the start date, fees are refunded in
full, less the deposit.
If notice of cancellation is given in writing less than 15 working days before the start date, one week of the tuition
fee and one week of the accommodation fee are refunded.
If notice of cancellation is given after arrival in Cork, the accommodation fee and the course fee are not refunded.
CLCI Shared Self-Catering Apartments are available all year and are located 5 minutes walk from CLCI. Students have
a single room in an apartment which they share with one or two students. Each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen, a
sitting room with a television, a bathroom and either two or three bedrooms. Bed linen is supplied. Students must provide
their own towels.
Student Residence Apartments are available from June 4 to September 4. Students have a single room in an apartment which
they share with other students. Each apartment has a kitchen, a sitting room with a television and a bathroom. Bed linen is
supplied. Students must provide their own towels.
Students changing accommodation from homestay to an apartment will not be refunded the difference in price.
No allowance is made for absences from accommodation.
Airport Transfers
Students booking homestay accommodation can be collected from Cork airport on arrival, free of charge. Students must
confirm date and time of arrival to CLCI one week in advance. Collection can be organised from 09.00hrs. to 24.00hrs.
In the case of a delay en route to Cork, students must contact CLCI or their hosts. We cannot guarantee collection in
the case of a delay, unless the student makes contact with CLCI or their hosts.
Students booking other types of accommodation can request a transfer on arrival at a cost of €35. In the case of a
delay the maximum waiting time is 60 minutes.
Medical and Travel Insurance
Students are advised to take out travel and medical insurance at the time of booking.
